In Saki's " The Open Window" Explain The Meaning Of The Last Line: "Romance At Short Notice Was Her Specialty"?

Sometimes the word "romance" means lying. The kind of "romance" that means lying is not the boy-meets-girl kind of romance. It used to mean something fanciful. Then people would say someone is "romancing," meaning to be more polite than to call it a lie. In the Saki story, he means that for the girl, telling lies was a specialty -- and she was really good at it.
